Competitive Football For Players Who Want To Improve

We're an FA-accredited youth football club providing UEFA-qualified coaching for dedicated young players. We run a single squad in the OYFL with a direct pathway to JPL through our partnership with Procision Oxford for those who would benefit. Our squad is currently competing in the u11 age bracket.

Why We Exist

Not every player wants the same thing from football. Some play for fun, some for fitness, some for friends. We exist for those who play to compete and improve.

We created FCC because we couldn't find what we were looking for - We wanted a team that promoted healthy competition, where selection was based on merit, and a place where players who weren’t yet ready to play at the higher levels were able to learn to play at a higher level.

Our Philosophy

We believe football starts with commitment - commitment from coaches, from the parents, and from the players. We will be there in all weathers, in all conditions, and where we can we’ll run extra sessions and arrange friendlies that push and help our players’ develop.

Beyond commitment, it's about decision-making and game understanding. Our coaching structure teaches the core concepts required to play at a good level. We fuse cognitive science research with practical football learning, combining competition with development because we believe pressure accelerates improvement.

What Makes Us Different

  • Small by design - One team, limited spaces, focused attention

  • Merit-based selection - Effort and ability determine playing time

  • Advanced coaching - UEFA-qualified and committed to long-term development

  • Minimal fees - No joining fee - £20 monthly subs, sponsors fund everything else

What We're Not

We're not an academy. We're not a business. We're not elite. We're not better than other clubs - we're just different. We exist for a specific type of player and family who want competitive football.

Join Us

We're always happy to discuss options for players who might be a good fit. We only operate a single squad, currently u11s, but can provide introductions to other local clubs if your player is in a different age bracket.
